A Special Good-bye

A week ago today, my sweet sister Wanda went home to be with the Lord.   She had been battling cancer and gave it her all, but the Lord decided that she had fought long enough and rewarded her with her special place in Heaven.  He took away all of her pain and reunited her with our parents, one of our brothers and several other loved ones.

We all know she is in a much better place, but we still miss her so much.   Her son said that she didn’t “lose” her battle with cancer…..she won!   And he is right.  What a wonderful gift to live with Jesus!   How very insightful he is.  I’m so thankful that her suffering is over and she will be living a life of pure joy from now on.

Wanda, you are no longer here on earth with us, but we are all still together in spirit.  I hope you know how much we love and miss you.  So long for now.  We will all be together again someday.

  1. Carolyn,
I am so very sorry to hear about your sister. I love what your nephew said. How true. It is time that we find a cure for the disease that makes so many of our loved ones ill. May God fill you with the peace and comfort that only He can provide. We serve a mighty God and I pray He holds you close as you grieve for your sister.

    • Thank you so much, Lynda. It will be a whole month in a couple of days. Please pray for my sister’s children and grandchildren. They lost an Aunt 7 months ago, their Mom almost a month ago and another Aunt this past Saturday. These Aunts were their Dad’s sisters. My heart breaks for them. I am so thankful that they have a relationship with Jesus.
